How the editor processes your writing

Browser code that reads what you type is not something this product can avoid — it is how the virtual keyboard, automatic Arabic suggestions, dialect ranking, transliteration, undo/redo, and copy actually work: your text has to pass through the editor's own code to be displayed, converted, and edited at all. What we do not do is send that text anywhere: by default, nothing you type is transmitted to our servers, stored in a database, or logged, and no account is required to use any part of this site.

What is never collected

• Raw text you type, in any language
• The Arabic output produced by the keyboard, suggestions, or any conversion tool
• Clipboard contents
• Keystroke logs
• Your full correction/edit history
• URLs or email addresses you type or paste

External search — Google and YouTube

The on-screen Google and YouTube keys are the one way this product can send your writing outside your browser, and only when you deliberately choose to use them. Clicking either key sends your current text selection — or, if nothing is selected, the complete text in the editor — to Google Search or YouTube as a search query, opened in a new browser tab. The first time you use either key in a page visit, a confirmation dialog names exactly what is about to happen before anything is sent; declining it sends nothing. Both keys stay disabled while the editor is empty. Once your browser opens that new tab, Google or YouTube processes what you sent under their own privacy policy — this site has no further involvement.

Hosting and technical request data

This site is hosted on Vercel. As with any web host, delivering each page necessarily involves processing ordinary technical request data — such as IP address, request headers, the route requested, and the timestamp — for the purposes of delivering content, maintaining reliability, and preventing abuse or security incidents. This data is retained only for as long as necessary for those purposes, under Vercel's own data processing terms, and is not linked to any account because this site has none. Processing may take place outside Switzerland or the EU/EEA, consistent with Vercel's role as an international hosting infrastructure provider.

Cloudflare

Cloudflare provides DNS and related network services for this domain, and — for the published contact addresses (contact@arabickeyboard.ai, privacy@arabickeyboard.ai) — email routing. When you send an email to either address, Cloudflare necessarily processes that email's content and metadata to deliver it. Cloudflare plays no role in, and has no access to, anything you type into the editor on this site.

Analytics, advertising, cookies, and storage

This site does not currently run any analytics, tracking, or advertising script of any kind — no page-view counting, no session replay, and no cross-site or advertising tracking. It does not set cookies. Because no nonessential tracking is active, this site does not show a cookie or tracking-consent banner; adding one without an actual reason to ask for consent would be clutter, not a genuine privacy measure. Beyond the browser's own built-in editing state — the text currently in the editor, held only in memory for the current page load — this site does not use any persistent browser-side storage: no local storage, no session storage, and nothing else that would survive closing or reloading the tab. If analytics, advertising, or any other tracking technology is ever introduced, it will be described here — and, where it depends on consent, will not run until you've given it — before it goes live.

Rights and complaints

Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, to receive a copy of it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Because this site processes very little personal data by design (see above), many of these rights will have limited practical scope, but you are welcome to send any request to privacy@arabickeyboard.ai.

If you are in Switzerland, you may lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC): www.edoeb.admin.ch. If you are in the EU or EEA and GDPR applies to your situation, you may also contact your own country's competent data protection supervisory authority.

Future changes

Introducing advertising, third-party analytics, or cloud-based AI processing of your writing would be a material change to this policy. If any of those are ever added, this page will be updated first, and — wherever consent is legally required — that consent will be obtained before the new technology is activated, not after.
